THE FABRICS

A METICULOUS STUDY,
BRUSH AFTER BRUSH.

It all starts with an inspiring image.
It can come from any world: from the supermarket counter, from a lamp, from a furniture magazine, from a photo of a cake, from a flower here in the Atelier.
Anna knows how to grasp, she knows how to see, she knows how to look.
This is part of her magic.
Her ideas come to her in the strangest moments and she knows how to imagine the final result, even if each collection is a path that slowly reveals itself.
The creation of a new fantasy starts here, from listening to and sharing every little idea, since every choice is targeted, studied and considered. Only then does she take the pencil in her hand and begin to sketch, draw, build, to let that sheet, previously blank, tell about Anna’s fascinating world.

This also applies to the models: they crumple up many sheets before finding the perfect balance of shapes.

From paper we move on to digital drawing, where each trace is like a brushstroke. The shades are many, the study and organization of the layers of color requires the same attention as a canvas. The scent of acrylic is missing in the air, but one breathes expectation for the final result, as for a real painting.

First we study the subjects, their colors and dimensions, then the composition.

If a fantasy turns out to be a success right away, it can also become a source of many inspirations and as many patterns: it is as if that drawing whispered new ways to Anna.
If, on the other hand, a design is not convincing, but its potential is perceived, it is undressed and dressed again: sometimes it works, other times it doesn’t.
Nothing is considered an error as an end in itself, everything teaches and each new result gives a new awareness.

Once the digital design has been defined, we move on to the printing test on fabrics.
Very delicate moment.
The choice of fabric is as important as the design of the patterns and Anna knows it, that’s why she dedicates a lot of time to it.
The waiting for the tests is stimulating and unnerving at the same time, however when they arrive, unrolling them and observing them is a moment suspended in time.
New proofs, new prints, and here … The collection comes to life, reveals itself.
Poetry has reached the heart: we cannot describe the preciousness and intensity of the emotion that comes from knowing that that stroke of the pencil has been transformed into a splendid dress interpreted by our stylist, worn and chosen by you, shipped in Worldwide.
This also applies to the models: they crumple up many sheets before finding the perfect balance of shapes.
